On September 18, 2024, MDFC participated in the Collaborative Rwanda Knowledge Exchange
The event, organized by Amref Worldwide and FP/RH Knowledge Management, at the Marriott Kigali
Hotel. The event gathered FP and SRH experts, stakeholders, and youth from Rwanda and the East
Africa to share insights, best practices, and strategies for enhancing FP/SRH programs through
effective knowledge management. Discussions emphasized the use of data, documentation, and
collaboration to improve program outcomes, with countries sharing their experiences, successes,
and challenges.

A key highlight was the election of the Rwanda-based Secretariat to oversee
future collaborative activities, ensuring continued knowledge sharing and program improvement.
Participants also engaged in a Community of Practice (CoP) Sustainability Discussion, focusing
on resource mobilization, active stakeholder engagement, and long-term strategies to keep the
CoP functional. The event reinforced the importance of regional collaboration and knowledge
management in strengthening FP/SRH initiatives.
