On July 25th, 2024, MDFC joined the FP2030 (the only global partnership focused on family planning) This singular focus unites a wide of partners across disciplines and sectors. The government of Rwanda initiated a partnership for the next decade, aiming to achieve country commitments by 2030.

Rwanda technical working group review meeting alongside family planning stakeholders and
partners. This meeting focused on reviewing progress, including updates from implementing
partners on key achievements, challenges, and lessons learned during the implementation of
Rwanda’s family planning commitments. The discussions also addressed planned interventions for
the next phase, reinforcing shared objectives such as expanding family planning awareness,
improving access to quality services, diversifying contraceptive methods, and enhancing
evidence-based programming. This engagement highlights Rwanda’s commitment to equitable
and rights-based family planning by 2030.
